About Sustainable Fisheries Initiative
Sustainable Fisheries Initiative is non-profit organisation birthed from Perfect Events. Perefct Events is private company comprising youths professionals and a majority of women with the aim of identifying sector gaps and collaborating with key stakeholders including government, NGOs and private sector to address them.

The vision is, to be Africa’s leading Initiative that promotes sustainable fisheries characterised with a health aquatic ecosystem, safe fish food supplies, a thriving and responsible fish food economy.
The Mission is, to partner with national and regional fish supply chains in rebuilding depleted fish stocks and tackling environmental impacts of fishing and aquaculture
The Strategic Objectives are,
- To promote responsible fishing and sustainable aquaculture as an alternative to wild fisheries
- To promote sector visibility through networking events and publications
- To improve household income and increase employment opportunities
- To advocate for policies that are non-discriminative of gender and minority groups
